WELCOME
The Architectural Institute of Paris (the AI) is a post-graduate School of Architecture & Interior Architecture teaching in the English language.
Based in the historic artists’ district of Montmartre in Paris, the Institute is a unique teaching establishment; it is one of the most selective architecture schools in Europe, accepting a maximum of 20 students into each cohort.
The Institute’s size allows us to deliver a curriculum based on the individual focus of each student, encompassing a pedagogy that is radical and innovative, with an emphasis on speculation about the future of architecture and society.
As the Institute is deliberately selective, unlike all other schools of architecture in Paris, the school offers an unparalleled student to staff ratio and individual tutorial time. This, combined with a renowned international teaching faculty, and state of the art facilities, offers a unique educational environment.
Study at the Architectural Institute is most suited to students who take an active role in school life, who are committed to their studies, and who have a mature and rigorous approach to learning.
The Institute was developed in response to the changes in the economic, demographic, technological, and environmental context in which architects and designers operate over the last decade, as well as the changing nature of international architectural and design practice today.
The Architectural Institute is the only architecture school in France who’s graduates have the necessary automatic accreditation towards professional registration in the United Kingdom, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and the EEA EFTA States; Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
We are also the only post-graduate architecture and design school teaching solely in the English language in France, founded and operated by architects with international and cross-border licensure, including France, the UK, the USA, Australia, and Spain.
